How Am I Complicit In Creating the Conditions I Say I Don’t Want?
Here are a few ideas from me to help you show up and grow in your own life!
1. Powerful Questions Help. How am I complicit in creating the conditions I say I don’t want? I had to re-read that /re-hear that in my brain. A few examples come to mind, for me.
I DON’T WANT A MESSY STUDIO- it’s overwhelming to me. YET I often resist simply spending 5 minutes after painting to reorganize my art table.
I DON’T WANT TO EAT PEANUT BUTTER TOAST for every lunch. YET, I have not spent much time at all in last two months on caring about lunch planning or prepping.
I DON’T WANT TO SLEEP LATE- I love creating in the early morning!. YET, I often keep reading my books, without limits, late into the dark night!
It’s just good to know these things. I don’t have to change everything at once…but I can set a timer now for 10 minutes and get my studio in better shape.
What came up for you?
(This powerful question above came from the podcast convo I am recommending to you below.)
2. It’s A FREAKING AWESOME DAY…when Liz Gilbert gets interviewed by Tim Ferriss and speaks about BOUNDARIES. Seriously! This is one you can get 15,000 steps in while deeply contemplating so many good things! Listen here.
3. We Got to See Otters Play. And it was the highlight of my weekend! I’ve been obsessed with wild beasties since childhood! My favorite TV show as a kid was Wild Kingdom, by Mutual of Omaha. I’ll always be grateful for the animals who led me back to myself when I had lost sight of my purpose in midlife. The great walrus, beautifully at home in his giant body, surrendered to the sand of the beach, seemed so unworried about absolutely everything. I felt so troubled then and he inspired me. Each beastie seemed absolutely at home in their own skin. I believe that’s why they’re so irresistible to us. They live innocently and honestly. We can learn to do this too.
Which wild animal fascinates you most?
Watch a YouTube video of them today and see what you notice about them. Try to embody that way of being today. The otters reminded me that i can play with friends and we can go wherever we want together!
Dear God, help me live innocently and honestly like the beasties do!

5. YOUR SOUL WORKOUT IS HERE. This is the kind of workout I love and NEED: the noticing workout! If you do it, I’d love to see your photos!! Hit reply and share with me!
6. Quote I’m obsessed with this week:
“Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.”
Ralph Marston
Reviews are starting to arrive for the new Boundaries Workbook!
***** 5/5 stars Beautiful book and illustrations that bring positive energy as you ponder the prompts and stories shared by the author. She takes a gentle approach, filled with fun and lively illustrations, to help you consider where you may want to press into change and where you are already strong with your boundaries. You can feel good even as you think about the concrete suggestions in areas you might want to do some things differently! This is something you can read all at once or in sections over time.
***** 5/5 stars The tips for setting boundaries are very realistic, true, and helpful. I also LOVE the simplicity and art! It’s digestible in short bites with visual beauty combined. It’s an easy read with thought provoking questions and prompts for developing your own boundaries to enhance your life and relationships. ♥️♥️
More self-respecting boundaries = MORE BLISS.
